• Moisturizing Effects: As a component of natural moisturizing factor (NMF), calcium pyrrolidone carboxylate has strong hygroscopic properties, absorbing and locking in moisture from the air. This helps maintain the moisture content of the stratum corneum, keeping the skin hydrated and soft, and reducing dryness, roughness, and flaking.
• Regulating Skin pH: It helps maintain a slightly acidic environment on the skin surface (pH≈5.5), which is beneficial for the activity of skin barrier-related enzymes, inhibits the growth of harmful bacteria, maintains the skin's microecological balance, and enhances the skin barrier function.
