Is Genistein An Isoflavone?

_01Genistein and its aglycone are the highest content of soybean isoflavones. The aglycon form of soy isoflavones is more active than the glycoside form, especially the activity of genistein, which has two-way regulation of phytoestrogens. MCF-7 cells are ER-positive human breast cancer cell lines that can be specifically regulated by estrogen or estrogen-like active substances to proliferate. Estrogen-like proliferation is very sensitive, simple and easy to implement, and it can also distinguish agonists and antagonists, so it is widely used in rapid screening and evaluation of phytoestrogens for environmental estrogens.

Because genistein has physiological activities such as antibacterial and antioxidant properties, from the perspective of nutrition, if Gen is selected as a food additive, it can play its dual role, and its application prospects are extremely broad.

Inhibit the cell cycle: stop the cells from the G2/M phase; induce tumor cell apoptosis: Tongguang up-regulates related pro-apoptotic genes and down-regulates the corresponding anti-apoptotic genes to promote tumor cell apoptosis and prevent and limit the occurrence of tumors;
