What Is Menthyl Lactate Used For?

Menthyl Lactate (ML for short) is a mint derivative, which is a long-acting cooling agent. It is a colorless liquid or white crystal, insoluble in water, soluble in ether, ethanol and oil. It has a weak cold aroma, green chrysanthemum or tobacco smell, and has a very light mint cool air, sometimes a bit reminiscent of tobacco and chamomile. However, mint is very volatile and irritating, resulting in a strong and short cooling effect, and covers the smell of essence due to its special mint flavor.
