Products Description
Licorice (Glycyrrhize glabra L.) is a common food and medicine. Licorice extract is widely used in candies and canned foods as a natural sweetener. The sweetness of licorice comes from glycyrrhizic acid and glycyrrhetinic acid. The former is a type of triterpenoid saponin, accounting for about 4% to 5% of the dry weight of licorice root, and its sweetness is 50 times that of sucrose. Glycyrrhetinic acid is formed by hydrolyzing glycyrrhizic acid to remove the sugar acid chain, and its sweetness is 250 times that of sucrose.
Glycyrrhetinic acid (Glycyrrhetinic acid), is a triterpene saponins, which is different from glycyrrhetinic acid in that two glycosides are missing and also exist free in licorice root. Glycyrrhiza uralensis is a major active ingredient in the roots and rhizoma of the legume Glycyrrhiza uralensis. Glycyrrhetinic acid is an important cosmetic raw material, which is used as a skin conditioner in cosmetics. It can be applied to a variety of functional cosmetics to adjust the skin.

Production method
Glycyrrhizic acid extracted from the rhizome of legume base grass is prepared as ammonium salt and then hydrolyzed. Licorice is my annual herb, mainly produced in Inner Mongolia and Gansu and other places. The root and rhizome of licorice mainly contain glycyrrhizin, which is the potassium and calcium salt of glycyrrhizic acid and is the sweet component of licorice. It is about 50 times sweeter than sucrose. The pulverized licorice was heated with water and extracted continuously against the current to separate and remove the grass residue impurities and obtain an aqueous solution. Evaporate, concentrate, and add sulfuric acid pH2-3 under stirring. The precipitate was allowed to stand and the supernatant was removed. The precipitate was washed with water, concentrated by heating, and boiled to make glycyrrhizic acid paste. The glycyrrhizic acid paste was crushed and extracted with 95% ethanol for 2-3 times, 3h each time, to obtain an ethanol solution. After filtration, ammonia was stirred to pH 7-7.5. After filtration, the crude triammonium glycyrrhizinate was obtained and refined with glacial acetic acid, which was beige monoammonium glycyrrhizinate. Monoammonium glycyrrhetinic acid was added to 5% aqueous sulfuric acid solution, heated to near boiling by stirring, hydrolyzed by reflux for 15h, filtered and washed to obtain crude glycyrrhetinic acid. After recrystrystalization and decolorization, the content of rheooxalic acid was more than 92%. The total yield was about 0.5% based on licorice.
Benefits
1. Anti-inflammatory
Glycyrrhetinic acid is the main component in licorice, which has a strong anti-inflammatory effect. Glycyrrhetinic acid has a good anti-inflammatory effect on a variety of inflammatory diseases, such as respiratory tract infection, digestive tract infection, skin infection, etc.
2. Anti-allergic
