The Source of Soy Lecithin
Soybean lecithin, also known as soybean oil lecithin, is a by-product of the soybean oil refining process, which is obtained by solvent extraction and then centrifugal separation by alcohol washing. Granular soy lecithin on the market is the phospholipid precipitated from soybean oil in the degumming process, then processed and dried. Pure soy lecithin is brown-yellow waxy solid, easy to absorb water into brown-black colloid, easy to oxidize, from brown-yellow to brown-black; soy lecithin contains lecithin, cerebral lecithin, etc., with the role of delaying aging, prevention of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Soy lecithin can enhance the cellular information transfer capacity, thereby improving brain vitality, enhance the cell membrane self-repair ability to protect the liver.
Phospholipids are a kind of natural nutritious health food, with a wide range of sources, mainly found in the cells of animals and plants, and are the main components of biological cell membranes, and the content of animal bodies are heart, liver, brain, kidney, bone marrow and eggs, etc.; the content of plant bodies is more concentrated in the seeds of oil crops, such as peanut kernel phospholipids, the content of which is 0.4 ~ 0.63%.
Soybean lecithin is a kind of basic material of life, it is not only an important part of human biofilm, but also a source of choline and fatty acid, which plays a key role in maintaining the physiological activity of biofilm and normal metabolism of the organism, and it is known as "vascular scavenger", lecithin is a kind of nutritional product with comprehensive function, and it is often supplemented, which is important for the prevention and improvement of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases. Lecithin is a comprehensive nutrient, regular supplementation, for the prevention and improvement of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, brain health, prevention of fatty liver and cirrhosis of the liver, skin beautification, has a very important role.
"Lecithin is derived from the Greek word "lecith", which means "egg yolk". In 1844, Frenchman Gohley discovered lecithin (yolk pigment) from egg yolk and named it lecithin in Greek. In 1844, a Frenchman named Gohley discovered lecithin from egg yolks and named it Lecithos in Greek, thus unlocking the mystery of lecithin. Since lecithin is extracted from egg yolk, the first "lecithin" actually contains the following components: phosphatidylcholine, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylinositol, and so on.

The Difference Between Soy Lecithin and Egg Yolk Lecithin
Various oilseeds contain phospholipids in nature, but their content is not the same in several common oilseeds, with soybean and cottonseed containing the most, followed by rapeseed. Those that can be produced industrially are mainly soybeans, hence the term "soy lecithin" or "soybean lecithin".
The general composition of soy lecithin is: phosphatidylcholine PC (lecithin) 25-32%, phosphatidylethanolamine PE (ceruloplasmin) 15-22%, phosphatidylinositol PI (myo-inositol phospholipids) about 15%, phosphatidylglycerol PG (neurosphingolipids) about 16%, phosphatidic acid PA about 4%, other phospholipids about 8%.
The main difference between egg yolk phospholipids and soy phospholipids is that phosphatidylcholine is up to 70% and phosphatidylinositol is only 0.6%. Does not contain: phosphatidic acid, phosphatidylserine, N-acylphosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol.
The effectiveness of soy lecithin
Soy lecithin is the essence of the substance extracted from soybeans. It is also one of the lipid components needed by the human body and is mainly used as an emulsifier, humectant and thickener in industry. It is also used as a dietary supplement. Most importantly, it also has other physiological regulatory effects. And the main role is based on phosphatidylcholine, that is, the core of this part of the role of the real lecithin part.
1. Delay aging
There are 60 trillion cells in the human body, of which 500,000 die every second and 500,000 regenerate at the same time. As we age, the number of cell deaths increases while the number of regenerated cells decreases. When the number of cell deaths is greater than the number of regenerations, a person begins to age. The metabolic process of the cell is regulated by the cell membrane. The health of the cell membrane is directly related to the cell's self-repair ability, information transfer ability, ability to resist external aggression, cell activity, and regeneration ability. The cell membrane is mainly composed of lecithin. Supplementing the human body with lecithin means that the damaged cell membrane can be repaired, the cell membrane function can be improved, the cell membrane can be softened and rejuvenated, and the cell activity can be increased. By taking lecithin, it can improve the body's metabolism, self-healing ability and regeneration of antibody tissues, enhance the vitality of the human body, and basically slow down the aging of the human body.
2. Vascular scavenger
Lecithin can emulsify and decompose fats and oils, and emulsify cholesterol and fat adhering to blood vessel walls into microparticles so that they can be dissolved in blood and transported back to the liver for metabolism. It softens blood vessels, improves serum lipids, removes peroxides, and reduces cholesterol and fat content in the blood, thus lowering blood viscosity, improving blood circulation, and reducing the retention time of fat in blood vessels. As a result, nutrient-rich, oxygen-rich blood flows freely to the brain, heart and other organs. The Department of Food and Nutrition of Keio University School of Medicine in Japan has conducted clinical experiments and concluded that taking lecithin can effectively reduce excessive blood fat and cholesterol, thus preventing and controlling coronary heart disease, hypertension, myocardial infarction, cerebral thrombosis, cerebral hemorrhage, atherosclerosis and other diseases.
3. Brain Health and Intelligence
Lecithin can provide sufficient nutrients to brain nerve cells, speed up the transmission of information between brain nerves, thus improving brain vitality, eliminating brain fatigue, making the brain think quickly, and improving learning and working efficiency. Lecithin can maintain the normal function of brain nerve cells and improve the function of brain nervous system, while repairing damaged brain cells and opening the obstacles between the brain and blood circulation, thus achieving the effect of preventing Alzheimer's disease.
4. Liver Protector
Drinking a lot of alcohol or overeating increases the burden on liver cells and reduces the liver's ability to synthesize phospholipids. When there is insufficient phosphatidylcholine in the body, it will lead to a large accumulation of fat in the liver, forming a fatty liver, destroying liver cells, reducing liver function, causing cirrhosis and even liver cancer. It has been scientifically proven that lecithin supplementation can improve the metabolism of liver cells, promote fat degradation, protect the liver and prevent the occurrence of fatty liver and other diseases.
5. Diet for Diabetics
Lecithin can improve the function of pancreas, repair pancreatic cells, make it secrete enough insulin, reduce blood sugar, effectively transport glucose in blood to cells, thus reducing the condition of diabetes.
6. An important component of biofilm
Soy lecithin is an indispensable basic substance of the human body, lecithin can promote mental conduction, improve brain vitality, and because of good emulsification, can effectively prevent cholesterol precipitation in the blood vessel wall and remove some of the precipitate, thus playing a role in lowering serum cholesterol, lowering blood viscosity, promoting blood circulation and preventing cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, regular consumption of products containing soy soft phospholipids can effectively regulate blood lipids and cholesterol, improve brain function, enhance memory, and prevent the occurrence of various diseases.
