Narirutin

Nairutin, also known as naringenin-7-O-rutin, is a naturally occurring flavonoid compound primarily found in the peel, pulp, and flowers of citrus plants (such as pomelo, grapefruit, and orange) belonging to the Rutaceae family.

• Source: Primarily found in the peel and white spongy layer of fruits such as pomelo and citrus, it is a secondary metabolite of plants.
• Chemical Structure: Belongs to the dihydroflavonoid class, with the molecular formula C₂₇H₃₂O₁₄, consisting of a naringenin core linked to rutin (a sugar chain composed of rhamnose and glucose).
• Physical Properties: Usually a white to pale yellow crystalline powder with a bitter taste. Slightly soluble in water, but highly soluble in hot water or organic solvents (such as ethanol and acetone).
