Products Description

 

Glyceryl Caprylate is a food additive produced by esterification of caprylic acid and glycerol. Its molecular formula is C11H22O4, and its CAS number is 26402-26-6. It is mainly used as a preservative and emulsifier, and is widely used in the food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries. It has high safety, can be decomposed and metabolized into carbon dioxide and water in the body without accumulation, and the FAO/WHO has not set a limit for its ADI (Advanced Individual Intake) value. Caprylic/caprylic acid glyceride is a novel, non-toxic, highly effective, and broad-spectrum preservative. It has inhibitory effects on Gram bacteria, molds, and yeasts.

  • Appearance and Morphology: At room temperature, it is usually a pale yellow transparent liquid or a milky white powder to a lumpy solid, odorless or with a slight coconut aroma.
