Tridecanoic acid glyceride, also known as glyceryl tridecanoate or tridecanoic acid ester, is an important medium-chain triglyceride (MCT) synthesized from glycerol and decanoic acid through an esterification reaction. It is widely used in food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, feed, and chemical industries, serving as a functional and practical fine chemical raw material.

Tridecanoic acid glyceride is physically and chemically stable. It appears as a white to off-white crystalline powder (at room temperature) or a colorless liquid with no obvious odor. Its melting point is 31-32℃, boiling point is 254℃/5mmHg, density at 20℃ is approximately 0.98 g/ml, refractive index is approximately 1.44, flash point is 20℃, and LogP value is approximately 12.44. In terms of solubility, tridecanoic acid glyceride is slightly soluble in chloroform and dimethyl sulfoxide (solubility can be improved with ultrasonic assistance), and readily soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, ether, and benzene. It is chemically stable and only requires protection from strong oxidizing agents. Storage conditions include -20℃, protection from light, and sealing. Shelf life is up to 24 months.

For TGCV-related diffuse coronary atherosclerosis, tricaprin can significantly regress atherosclerosis and reduce the risk of coronary artery stenosis by increasing intracellular triglyceride lipolysis and promoting the clearance of triglyceride deposits in the arterial wall.

4. Provides support for energy metabolism

As a medium-chain fatty acid glyceride, tridecanoic acid glyceride has high metabolic efficiency.
