Product Description
Carvacrol Powder is an organic compound. At room temperature, it is a colorless to pale yellow oily liquid with a thymol odor. Its melting point is approximately 0°C, and its boiling point is 237-238°C. It is readily soluble in alcohols and ethers, but almost insoluble in water. As a multifunctional chemical substance, it is widely used in fragrances, food additives, preservatives, and pharmaceutical intermediates. Carvacrol has broad-spectrum antifungal activity; its formulations are effective against peanut white mold disease, and a 5% carvacrol aqueous solution has been registered as a pesticide for controlling citrus psyllids. Carvacrol is also used as a flavoring agent in feed additives and in active food packaging films.
