What are the benefits?
This product is a cholecystokinin receptor and gastrin receptor antagonist. Its molecular structure is similar to the terminal molecular structure of two intestinal kinins, gastrin (G-17) and cholecystokinin (CCK). Therefore, the functional group amide group can specifically compete with G-17 for the G-17 receptor on the parietal cell, significantly inhibiting the secretion of gastric acid and pepsin caused by G-17, increasing the content of hexosamine in the gastric mucosa, promoting glycoprotein synthesis, protecting the gastric mucosa, thereby improving the symptoms of peptic ulcer and promoting the healing of ulcer. This product has no obvious inhibitory effect on gastric acid secretion caused by histamine and vagus nerve stimulation. There is no rebound phenomenon of gastric acid secretion in the treatment of peptic ulcer and gastritis. After the termination of treatment, gastric acid secretion can still be kept at a normal level for half a year. Because the effect of this product in inhibiting gastric acid secretion is weaker than that of H2 receptor antagonists, it is no longer used alone in the clinic to treat ulcer disease, but its choleretic effect has been paid more attention recently.
