matcha powder:Product Introduction

Matcha powder is made from shade-cultivated steamed green tea leaves, ground into a fine powder with a uniform bright green appearance. It has a refreshing seaweed-like aroma and a rich, mellow taste. Compared to regular green tea powder, matcha differs in raw material variety, cultivation method, processing equipment, and particle size standards. Only tea powder made through grinding can be called matcha.

Matcha is rich in tea polyphenols (especially epigallocatechin gallate), free amino acids (theanine), chlorophyll, dietary fiber, and various vitamins. It has antioxidant, invigorating, stress-relieving, and metabolism-boosting effects, and can be widely used in baking, cold drinks, and various food ingredients. It is also used in cosmetics as a natural pigment and active ingredient.

YTBIO supplies matcha powder in multiple grades and sizes to suit your different applications:

We supports OEM customization services for matcha powder, including particle size adjustment, compounding, and packaging customization. All our products strictly adhere to international certification systems such as cGMP, FSSC22000, BRC, HACCP, HALAL, KOSHER, ISO9001, and ISO22000.

What are the health benefits of matcha powder?

1. Superior antioxidant power: Consuming more matches promotes younger-looking skin.

Although shade cultivation reduces the total amount of tea polyphenols in matcha (100 grams of matcha contains less polyphenols than green tea), its ultra-fine powder structure allows for more efficient polyphenol release during brewing. Studies have found that under equivalent brewing conditions, matcha contains catechins (the primary form of tea polyphenols) three to four times more than green tea.

The antioxidant power of catechins far exceeds that of vitamin C, flavonoids, and glutathione. Matcha is also rich in theanine, chlorophyll, and beta-carotene, all of which also possess antioxidant properties. Chlorophyll and beta-carotene are fat-soluble, making them difficult to release when brewing regular green tea. However, matcha can be fully absorbed whether brewed with water or other methods.

2. A good source of dietary fiber, promoting intestinal health.

Matcha is incredibly high in dietary fiber! According to the Japanese Nutrition Facts Index, matcha contains 38.5 grams of dietary fiber per 100 grams, while a 2024 US study even measured a high content of 56.1 grams.

Matcha's dietary fiber is primarily insoluble, which promotes intestinal motility and helps relieve constipation. For office workers who don't consume enough vegetables, consuming a moderate amount of matcha daily can effectively supplement dietary fiber, increase satiety, and aid in weight management.

3. High in beta-carotene, it protects the eyes and boosts immunity.

Every 100 grams of matcha contains 2,900 micrograms of beta-carotene. Just 5 grams of matcha (approximately 145 micrograms) far exceeds the content of 100 grams of cabbage (24.2 micrograms) or celery stalks (41.7 micrograms).

Beta-carotene is not only a powerful antioxidant but is also converted into vitamin A in the body, helping to boost immunity and protect vision. Currently, the average daily intake of vitamin A for adults in my country is only 406.8 micrograms, far below the recommended daily intake (800 micrograms/day for men and 700 micrograms/day for women). Matcha is an ideal supplement.

4. A Super Source of Vitamin K, Strengthening Bone Health
Matcha is a vitamin K "nutrient bomb"-per 100 grams contains 2,900 micrograms of vitamin K, and just 5 grams provides approximately 145 micrograms, nearly double the recommended daily intake (80 micrograms) for adults.

Vitamin K promotes calcium deposition in bones, preventing osteoporosis and is particularly beneficial for postmenopausal women (who are at increased risk of bone loss). Moderate, long-term matcha consumption helps maintain bone health.

5. Rich in Folic Acid, Protecting the Cardiovascular System
Matcha is also high in folic acid, containing 1,200 micrograms per 100 grams. Consuming 5 grams of matcha (approximately 60 micrograms of folic acid) daily provides 15% of the recommended daily intake (400 micrograms) for adults.

Folic acid is not only crucial for pregnant women, but adequate folic acid intake by the general public can also reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, making it a universal nutrient for maintaining health.

Summary
Matcha, with its high antioxidant content, rich dietary fiber, beta-carotene, vitamin K, and folic acid, has become a modern superfood. Whether it's skincare, eye protection, gut health, or bone and cardiovascular support, moderate matcha consumption offers numerous health benefits!
