4. Anti-estrogen effect The flavonoids rich in hollyhock extract have phytoestrogen effects and can slightly inhibit the production of estrogen. This effect is expressed through aromatase and estrogen receptor-β.
5. Antioxidant effect: The scavenging ability of hibiscus flower ethanol extract on superoxide anions, hydrogen free radicals, and DPPH free radicals, as well as the inhibition of aldose reductase activity, are higher than those of vitamin C.
