General Method: Urolithin A-C (30a-c, 1.0 equivalent) is dissolved in dimethyl ether and cooled to 0°C under argon protection. Subsequently, the reaction mixture is acidified with 2N hydrochloric acid solution and extracted with ethyl acetate (EtOAc) to obtain the crude product. Finally, the crude product is purified by size exclusion chromatography to obtain the target compound.
